We have a 1965 Morris Mini Cooper. I believe the wheels are too wide for what was original equipment. I was hoping some one could help to tell me what was fitted as original, maybe a phot or part number. The ones on the car look to have too much offset but I cannot find information to tell me what is correct. Thank you everybody!

On the photo, it looks like the car is fitted with Dunlop LP918 reverse rims, 4.5" with an offset of 16mm on 7" Cooper disk brakes (not 7.5" disks)
These wheels were initially designed for the narrow track drum braked Minis and the Cooper, to give them the same wide looking stance of the Cooper S fitted with factory option 4.5" rims (LP883).
With the LP918 fitted on 7.5" Cooper S disks, the wheels would pop out even more, by 3/8" and the wing no longer covering the tread of the tire.
As miniforfun already mentioned, the LP883 would be the wheel to go for.
The fitted Dunlop LP918 have an offset (ET) of 16mm
The 4.5" LP883 have an offset (ET) of 35mm
The larger the offset, the narrower the track
With the LP883 fitted, each wheel will be moved inwards by 19mm / 3/4"
The LP883 is still availlable as reprodruction at minispares...
